City of Cologne

So you’re looking to visit Gamescom in Cologne ? That’s awesome! There are beside gamescom a lot of other activities you can do around the town. It’s a very popular city for tourists because of the variety of things you can do, like Museums (chocolate museum!), fancy chocolate shops, Roman history and much more!


When you are there, you can walk around town and visit all the nice shopping streets (Hohe Straße and Schildergasse!). Or you can lay back and enjoy a nice beer in one of the many beer gardens around town.


When you’re done you can take a cruise around with a boat on the Rhine. You can view te town from the water, it’s really beautiful…
If you have time left be sure to walk around the Kolner Dom. It will amaze you and leave you wondering how they ever could built such a massive church. fun fact: The Cathedral of Cologne – the main symbol of the city – has been under construction from 1248 to 1888. It’s the third-tallest cathedral in the world.

What about the nature lovers out there? For you I can recommend visiting the Botanical Garden. It’s a nice place to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery of all the nature around you. What interesting is to know is that it’s built in 1860s.

And if you’re done with the day you can enjoy the amazing nightlife in Cologne. There are a lot of bars and clubs. The music ranges from R&B to Techno, so it’s safe to say that there is something for everyone. Fun fact: No other German city has as many pubs per capita as Cologne. You can find the main street for the bars at Zülpicher Straße and Luxemburger Straße
